Hydrogen bromide (HBr) is a colorless gas but with an irritating odor. When there is moisture in the air, the gas then becomes smoking. On a short time exposure, hydrogen bromide is irritating and corrosive to the skin, eyes and respiratory tract. Over a long time or chronic exposure, there is a link between hydrogen bromide and the risk of laryngeal cancer.

Primarily designed for use in applications like petroleum products production, packaging aseptization, refrigerant systems protection against corrosion or even the production of rocket fuel, the X-am 5100 is a portable single-gas personal detector. This small handheld monitor can continuously and accurately measure an monitor concentrations of hydrogen fluoride (HF), nitric acid (HNO3), hydrogen bromide (HBr), hydrogen chloride (HCl), hydrazine (N2H4), phosphoryl trichloride (POCl3 ou PCl3) or hydrogen peroxide (H2O2).

Small, compact, lightweight and robust, the X-am 5100 portable single-gas detector features a visual alarm at 360°, a multi-tone audible alarm of 90 dB at 30 cm and a vibrating alarm to alert every user on abnormal and hazardous concentrations of the target gas. Its rugged housing is IP54 certified which enables the X-am 5100 to be used in demanding environments with a temperature range from -20 to 50°C and a relative humidity from 10 to 90%. This portable gas detector is also schock-resistant and immune to electromagnetic emissions.

The X-am 5100 is available in three versions. The first one is powered with a rechargeable NiMH battery which gives the detector an autonomy of around 150 hours. The second version is powered with a rechargeable high capacity NiMH battery which gives the detector an autonomy of around 180 hours. Lastly, the third version is powered with alkaline batteries which give the detector an autonomy of around 150 hours runtime.

Thanks to its intuitive menu and its two ergonomic buttons the X-am 5100 portable single-gas detector is easy to use and requires no special technical skills to operate. Moreover, it can easily be placed closed to the breathing tracts thanks to its crocodile clip in order to get measured concentrations as close as possible to those inhaled by the operator.

Its integrated datalogger can store more than 100 hours of data with interval of 1 value per minute. This data can then be retrieved or transferred to a computer with an infrared interface integrated on the device.

The X-am 5100 is delivered ready for use with a charger and a calibration certificate.

Especially designed for short duration intervention in extreme conditions, the PAS Micro self-contained breathing apparatus is particularly lightweight (2 kg). Composed by a harness, a belt and a backplate, the device is designed to enhance the comfort of the user. Made from flexible, robust and antistatic materials, this breathing device suits perfectly in any morphology. Especially designed for use in industrial applications, the R-Pas set is a self-contained breathing apparatus with reduced maintenance needs. It combines performance, reliability and comfort of use.

Particularly lightweight and multifunction, this open-circuit SCBA is an ideal solution in presence of toxic gases or for use in poorly oxygenated environments. As it is compliant with the EN 137-2 standard, the R-Pas set is also recommended for fire interventions. Thus it is widely used by firefighters all around the world.

Delivered complete in its high visibility orange carrying case, the R-Pas is part of the latest generation of self-contained breathing apparatus. It is composed by an SCBA mask, a compressed air cylinder and a harness.

The harness is lightweight and easy to don. It is equipped with a factory pre-set flow regulator and a demand flow regulator. Thanks to its lightweight, antistatic and shock resistant design and rubber protection for the manometer, this harness is especially made for use in the harshest environments. Its harness is made of lightweight flameproof buckles, adjustable straps and rubber backplate highly resistant to chemical products. This way, the R-Pas SCBA is well-suited for fire situations. Moreover air supplying and manometer hoses are directly mounted into the harness backplate for better comfort.

The SCBA mask included in the R-Pas set is made of elastomer for easy adjustment and perfect fit with any shape of face. Thanks to its dual airtight seal and a 180° visor, this respiratory protective mask offers an outstanding comfort of use and a large distortion-free field of view for an excellent peripheral view. Furthermore this mask is provided with a specific bag in order not to be damaged or scratched during transport in the carrying case.

The compressed air cylinder that is also included in the R-Pas set is lightweight and robust. Made of lightened steel, this cylinder is equipped with an EN tap. Thanks to its 6 liters capacity at 300 bars, this compressed air cylinder provides clean air for approximately 40 minutes for safe interventions.

The high visibility orange carrying case has been especially designed to carry the full SCBA R-Pas set, including the connected cylinder and is ready for use.

The X-plore 9300 supplied air respirator system – or SAR - features enhanced functions such as a patented pressure reducer or a self-check function to provide optimal comfort of use and improved safety. Especially designed for simple industrial applications, the X-plore 9300 provides a continuous air flow to its user.

In compliance with the EN 14954 standard, the X-plore 9300 airline respirator is a compact and lightweight device – less than 0.5 kg – that shall be worn on belt. Thanks to supply hose connectors, this supplied air respirator system provides constant air flow into a facepiece (respiratory protective mask, full hood or half-hood) with increased flexibility. Fully compatible with the X-plore 8000 SAR facepieces series, the X-plore 9300 airline respirator also features a pressure regulator that enables user to adjust the injected air flow between 200 and 1,200 liters per minute. It can also be used with helmets and protective visors.

The integrated auto test function automatically turns on once the device is powered. Thanks to this function, the user doesn’t need to control the proper operation of the device before each use. This way, users significantly gain time to operate. An alarm whistle is added to this auto test unit in order to indicate that the device can properly operate and to alert in case of insufficient air supply. Moreover, this supplied air respirator system requires no particular maintenance. Spare parts of this device can also be easily replaced at lower cost.

Particularly robust and easy to use, the X-plore 9300 SAR has been designed for use in demanding environments and is even approved for use in potentially explosive areas.

The X-plore 9300 constant flow supplied air respirator system is compatible with a whole range of accessories including standard belt, leather belt or decontaminable belt but also a range of 3 to 50 meters air supply hoses for hoods, helmets or visors. The X-plore 9300 can also be connected to the X-plore 4740 half-mask or to the X-plore 6300, Panorama or FPS 700 full face masks.
