The Spyglass Xtend is a new generation optical flame detector, designed for the combined detection of hydrogen and hydrocarbon flames. Thanks to its triple infrared (IR3) technology and intelligent algorithm, it guarantees an ultra-fast response in as little as 40 milliseconds, while significantly reducing false alarms due to reflections, dust or bad weather.
The Spyglass Xtend flame detector is available in two versions depending on the needs of the installation:
Spyglass Xtend: equipped with triple infrared technology (IR3), it ensures reliable detection of hydrogen and hydrocarbon flames over long distances with an ultra-fast response time (as fast as 40 ms).
Spyglass Xtend-V: also incorporates an HD video output for real-time viewing of detected events, with automatic alarm recording.
The stainless steel casing, certified to IP66/68 and NEMA 4X/6P, protects the detector against the elements, dust and corrosive atmospheres. An integrated tricolour LED (green: normal / yellow: fault / red: alarm) enables the detector's status to be read immediately by on-site personnel.
Installation is quick and flexible: the tilting bracket allows the detector to be precisely angled up to 60°, ensuring optimum coverage of the area to be monitored.
Ideal as a complement to a fixed gas detection system, Spyglass Xtend can be connected to a gas or fire control unit and easily integrated with ATEX-certified equipment (sirens , flashes, cable glands, etc.).
