MX4-EXPLO portable flammable gas detector (explosimeter)
The MX4-EXPLO ATEX explosimeter is a portable flammable gas detector with a catalytic filament. Robust and lightweight thanks to its polycarbonate casing, it detects all explosive gases in the atmosphere according to the Lower Explosive Limit (LEL), such as natural gas, butane, propane, hydrogen, hydrocarbons, solvents or alcohols.

The MX4-EXPLO flammable gas detector is a classic multi-gas detector with a catalytic sensor, which can be upgraded with three additional cells for carbon monoxide (CO), hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and oxygen (O2) to become a portable 4-gas detector. Waterproof and dustproof with its over-molded polycarbonate shell, it complies with ATEX stantards (explosive atmospheres).
A 95 dB audible alarm at 10 cm and a high-visibility red LED light alarm are completed by a vibrating alarm. All three alarm modes operate simultaneously to guarantee a level of prevention suitable for all types of activity.
The MX4-EXPLO can feature the optional Clipsable pump for remote gas sampling (up to 30 meters away), ideal for entry or work authorization measurements in tanks or leak detection.
Like all gas detectors, the MX4-EXPLO must be regularly maintained and calibrated (every six months) to guarantee reliable, accurate measurements over time. Calibration is carried out by default with methane or pentane, depending on the explosive gases to be detected.
