The X-am 8000 PID is a portable VOC detector (volatile organic compounds) equipped with a 10.6 eV photo-ionization lamp (PID sensor) available in 2 measurement scales for better measurement accuracy. On the same basis as the X-am 8000 multi gas detector, it is possible to add 4 additional sensors.
Benefiting from Dräger expertise, the X-am 8000 PID is a portable VOC detector for measuring VOCs in high concentrations (0-2000 ppm isobutylene) or in low concentrations (0-10ppm isobutylene) depending on the chosen photo-ionization sensor.
The device has a complete warning system (vibrations, audible and visual LED alarms), is ATEX certified (I M1, II 1G - Ex da ia I Ma, Ex da ia IIC T4 Ga) and is rechargeable by induction . A dedicated sampling pump can be added to the device for sampling up to 30 meters away.
The X-am 8000 PID stands out in applications requiring the monitoring of VOC presence in ambient air: work involving synthetic agents, solvents, preservatives for example or in air quality analysis, manufacturing industry and petrochemicals.
The X-am 8000 PID is a true multi gas detector: in addition to the volatile organic compounds detection, it can detect up to 4 additional gases (Cl2, ClO2, CO, CO2, H2, H2S, HCN, NH3, NO, NO2, O2, O3, PH3, SO2).
