In diffusion or pump mode, the Dräger X-am 8000 multi gas detector combines power and flexibility for the simultaneous detection of up to 7 gases from a wide range of explosive or flammable gases, toxic gases (AsH3, B2H6, Br2, Cl2, ClO2, CO, CO2, F2, H2, H2S, HCN, NH3, NO, NO2, O3, PH3, SiH4, SO2), asphyxiating gases (O2, N2, CO2) and more than 300 VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds).
This portable multi gas detector has three navigation buttons and a color display for quick and easy measurement readings. Built for one-handed operation, it is rugged, shock resistant, waterproof, and dustproof (IP67 rating). It is equipped with a powerful audible alarm (100dB at 30 cm), luminous (3 red LEDs), and vibrating to alert users in case of gas danger.
The Dräger X-am 8000 multi gas detector also includes an impact detection system. Any mechanical shock that could damage the device is registered. This data is saved in the device's internal memory, which can also record several hundred hours of exposure. It is powered by a lithium-ion battery which is rechargeable by induction. This innovative charging system is non-intrusive and avoids the recurrent problems of corrosion or wrong contact from a conventional charging system.
